The Regional Plan Association and the National Parks Conservation Association have issued a report on a vision for a new park and nature preserve at Floyd Bennett Field. It's reassuring to know that New York City continues to value parks and nature as an urban asset. The city that created Central Park sustains it historical trajectory with Freshkills, The High Line, Brooklyn Bridge Park, and Floyd Bennett Field. Among other things, media reports touting it as to be the nation's "largest urban campground."
