I have provided communications research and counsel for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, and leading not-for-profit organizations. I am currently the U.S. representative and communications counsel to a global not-for-profit organization and am Of Counsel to RF|Binder Partners, Inc. I am a Member of the Institute for Public Relations Commission on Measurement and Evaluation and a Member of the Council of Public Relations Firms Task Force on the Return on Investment for Public Relations.
My prior positions have included Chief Performance Officer of RF|Binder Partners, Inc., Executive Vice President and Chief Knowledge Officer of Ruder Finn, Inc., and President/COO of Research & Forecasts, Inc.
I have managed communications programs and projects for corporations (ABB, AES, Bosch, International Paper, McGraw-Hill, Pfizer, Winterthur), government location branding and economic development agencies (Chile, Germany, City of Lyon, The Netherlands, New York State), and non-profit organizations (Columbia University, Japan Society, Lincoln Center, MIT, RISD, Rockefeller Brothers Fund, Rodale Institute, U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops).
I earned my Ph.D. in communications theory (Post-Structuralism and Semiotics) and English Literature (James Joyce’s Finnegans Wake) from the University of Illinois and master’s degrees in Landscape Design from Columbia University and English Literature from Southern Illinois University. I have served as an adjunct faculty member at New York University and City College of New York.
